  • Brain tumour
  • Stroke
  • TIA (mini-stroke)
  • Meningitis/encephalitis
  • benign cough headache,
  • 'ice-cream' headache,
  • 'benign exertional headache' precipitated by exercise
  • headache associated with sexual activity.
