Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and Determination alone are Omnipotent.

Ray Kroc - founder of McDonald's

I came across this quote recently, which I had kept for many years.

That is how I feel about this website. After two false starts, I have finally managed to put together a website to hold all the information about Arachnoiditis.

Most of the files you will read have come from Dr Sarah Smith (Andreae Jones) or DocSarah to me.

I have split her articles up into Chapters for one very good reason. DocSarah - she is never satisfied and always strives to improve the work she has done. It was not uncommon to have 5 or 6 different versions of an article before she finally concedes defeat and let's me publish it.

Some articles became very technical (I am not medically qualified) and if I couldn't understand it, many others would not either. After furious emails back and forth, revised editions would slowly appear.

Other articles appeared where the offer of haemorrhoid cream, from too much fence sitting, was needed!

Other than that I have not revised, edited or altered one word. You will find that some articles repeat themselves at times. This is necessary as sometimes they were smaller articles, expanded on, or larger articles reduced to one particular area of interest to other people.

That is the key to this site. It has been driven by the many thousands of people who have asked me for information. They have and will continue to be, the driving force behind DocSarah.

My contribution has been the Persistence needed to make it happen.

Don't forget to have a look at the Forum, which is new and when I get better at it will be on the front page as a clickable.
