Dear Kevin,

I'm afraid I feel we are some way off a curative treatment but I am always keeping an eye open for potential treatments, whether curative or palliative. I am primarily concerned about risks of treatments, bearing in mind the part of the Hippocratic oath that says 'First do no harm'. As people with arachnoiditis tend to know all too well, that cannot be said of a variety of treatments. So I am ever cautious...but ever hopeful!

Here is my view All patients had cystic adhesive arachnoiditis with the signs of both cerebral hemisphere atrophy and hydrocephaly. Twenty-three patients had subarachnoid cysts. Intracerebral cysts were revealed in 11 patients. An intractable generalized convulsive syndrome was noted in 10 cases. There was the association of intracranial hypertension with both intellect and focal organic brain disorders.
